ATC (Artist Trading Card)

Currently, the hottest topic in circle of SB friend of mine is ATC. This being popular in Europe country since 1997.
However this is my fist time heard about this.
It's seem so fun by exchanging each other craft works.

  1. ATC’s are original works of art 2.5″x3.5″, or 64×89mm in size
  2. ATC’s mustn’t be sold, only exchanged
  3. ATC’s include on their reverse sides: the name, contact information, title of the ATC and number.
  4. ATC’s may be: originals, editions or part of a series.
May refer to Artmakr for detailed information.

I already committed with circle of friends (SnC) to do the first swap.

: Use pattern papers that has flowers or flourishes on them.
The cards are 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 in size.

Scrap for Malacca

After 1 week (15/11 to 21/11) , I finally finished my project for SMida Challenge,
12 x 12 Layout , a tag, a card, a paper bag, a brochure from my recent Malacca trip.

During my visit to Malacca, I think of to scrap on this vintage state.

1) 12x12 LO -
I incorporated some slide cards underneath the brown card stock , display the reason why I love Malacca that much (becoz of Food, Art & Craft).

I had attended class conducted by SNC - Penelope 3 days ago (24/11/07), after I had finished those projects. She show us some of her creation in making some pockets in the LO for hiding extra small cards also.

2) I produce the card and tag.

Card - I hand draw the alphabet (which I normally do it in my high school)

Tag - I wish to lived in the life that i love.

3) Then, I have some leftover of pieces paper , so I extract & cut out the map for Jonker street (the place which I used to hang around) to make a handy leaflet map.
I like this idea so much!

(Back)

4) Besides, I used to collect lots of brochure and card during my visit. So, to keep them all , i think of to produce a paper bag with my leftover brown patterned paper.

The photo in the front of the paper bag is shot from Baba House, which I decide to stay there for our next visit.

Will send this coaster out tomorrow.

Stillness is you

Make this LO for challenge in Chit Chat for Nov 16th to 22th, 2007. The photo taken when KWen is 5mths old. She just stayed at me calmly the time she awaken.

The challenge are :

Words of Inspiration:
"If you peel back the layers of your life - the frenzy, the noise - stillness is waiting. That stillness is you."
-Oprah Winfrey

Product:
Use a calendar on your layout

Technique:
Use a paint, or ink masking technique.

Friendly speaking, this is my first time to do masking. It's not really seem ok... so must practice more.

I like to enter a challenge due to I'm newbie in Scrapbooking, so it's a good chance for me to squeeze some creativity juice from my little right brain.

And of course, if can get some prizes also help me a lot .... my pocket not there deep to afford.

HOME (by Stephanie Mills )
"When I think of home
I think of a resting place
A place where theres peace, quiet, and serenity
And thats where some of my friends have gone
Friends who have traveled with me through my
wonderful
experience in Oz
A journey Ill never forget

When I think of home, I think of a place
Wheres theres love overflowing
I wish I was home, I wish I was back there
With the things Ive been knowing

Wind that makes the tall grass bend into leaning
Suddenly the raindrops that fall they have a meaning
Sprinklin' the scene
Makes it all clean

(When I think of home)
Maybe theres a chance for me to go back
Now that I have some direction
(Maybe theres a chance Ill get home)
It sure would be nice to be back at home
Where theres love and affection

And just maybe I can convince time to slow up
Givin me enough time, ooh, in my life to grow up
Time be my friend
And let me start again"

My submission to ScrappinKids Challenge #2.

" A Child's smile is one of life's greatest blessings."

Dear KWen,
Your smile makes mummy's heart bounce, no matter how much pressure that mmy faced at real life, it's resolve.
Your smile so sweet simply irresistible.
Your smile even melted daddy & mummy's heart.

Dear sweetheart, We want you to remember that
"You're never fully dressed without a smile. A smile is a curve that sets everything straight "

Adore { KWen }

This is a simple layout about Kwen, when she and I make our first shopping (just 3 of us, that time I was pregnant) at Alamanda.

For the title 'Adore' , I have used the gold arcylic paint & put on the little pieces of embellishment before the paint completely dry. The bottom layered with vellum and decorated with sequins.

Take A Ride

I used of the foam from the leftover of chocolate wrap for the bottom layer and paint with Tsukineko ink which create the shinning effect.

KWen love the little bike. When she was 7mth, she can sat steadily on her bike.
If we went back early from works, we would bring her for a walk.
She enjoyed so much.
